1. Who we are
CharterOwl provides question banks, mock examinations and performance analytics for candidates preparing for the CFA® Program examinations. In these terms, “we” and “CharterOwl” mean the operator of charterowl.com.
To complete before launch. The registered entity name, registered address and named grievance officer are left blank deliberately — they are facts only the business can supply, and a payment gateway will check them against your incorporation documents.
2. What is being sold
Access to the CharterOwl exam portal for a single CFA® level. Each level is sold separately. A purchase grants one individual access to the question bank, mock examinations, analytics and study tools for that level.
3. Access period
Access runs from purchase until the examination date you record in your account, plus thirty days. If you change your recorded examination date to a later sitting, access extends to match it at no further charge. Access is not transferable between people, and a purchase for one level does not grant access to another.
4. Your account
You need an account to use the portal. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. One account is for one person; sharing credentials is a breach of these terms and may result in access being withdrawn without refund.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the material for your own examination preparation. You may not copy, republish, resell, share, scrape or otherwise redistribute any question, explanation, mock examination or analytics output, in whole or in part, by any means. Automated collection of content is prohibited. We monitor for bulk extraction and will withdraw access where we find it.
6. Our content
All questions and explanations on CharterOwl are original works written by us. They are not reproduced from any CFA Institute examination. All intellectual property in the platform and its content remains ours.
7. What we do not promise
CharterOwl is a practice and diagnostic platform, not a substitute for the official curriculum, and not a guarantee of any examination result. Readiness estimates and analytics are exactly that — estimates — and CFA Institute does not publish a score, so neither do we.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access for maintenance, and will give notice where we reasonably can.
9. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights we will notify you by email at the address on your account. Continued use after that notice is acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
